The third season of the Mirzapur web series is being released on 5th July on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. The series is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer and stars Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Ali Fazal. Dhaniram Prajapati will play the role of Chaube Ji. Prior to this, Dhaniram Prajapati has appeared in the web series Kalapani and the film Joram. Born in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, Dhaniram has been working as an actor in Mumbai for several years. India News 24 conducted an interview with Dhaniram Prajapati.

Q: How was your experience working on Mirzapur Season 3 compared to your previous projects?

Ans. : It was a completely different experience. Working with a big production and a renowned director was unique. I wasn't cast in the first two seasons, but I didn't give up. I was determined to work in Mirzapur. After the audition, I was cast for the third season. Initially, I felt a bit uncomfortable, but the director organized rehearsals, and it became easier for me. Compared to previous projects, this one was entirely different. It was my first time working on such a big set. I was very excited.

Q: Did you face any new challenges or have any memorable moments during the shoot?

Ans. : There were fight sequences, action scenes, and stunts in the series, which were challenging for me as they involved both acting and action. However, I managed to do it with the help of the fight master. Additionally, I had taken martial arts training during my studies at the Madhya Pradesh Drama School, so it wasn't too difficult for me.

Q: Were there any specific aspects of your role that you found particularly exciting or challenging?

Ans. : For both previous seasons of Mirzapur, I tried to audition 2-3 times, but they always said that there was no character that fit my look. I was turned down each time. When I went to Andaman to shoot for the Kalapani series, I received a call during the shoot and was asked to audition. I gave an online audition, and I was selected for the role of Chaube Ji. I couldn't believe it, but I was very happy.

Q: What impact do you think Mirzapur will have on your career and on Indian web series as a whole?

Ans. : I can't say for sure how impactful it will be on my career, but in today's age of social media, anything can go viral. It all depends on how the audience perceives each character in Mirzapur. However, I can certainly say that since the audience has shown immense love for the Mirzapur web series, it will definitely have a positive impact on my acting career.

Q: Did you undergo any special training or research to portray your character more authentically?

Ans.: Yes, I conducted individual research for the Chaube Ji character to understand his daily routine and the ups and downs of his real life. I believe that research helps an actor with characterization.

Q: How did you prepare for your role in Mirzapur Season 3?

Ans. : As an actor, I felt that I couldn't fully understand and develop the character as much as I wanted to. However, I must say that the director plays a significant role in shaping the character. With the brief and guidance given by the director, and through rehearsals, I tried to embody the character accordingly.
